House in Chiharada was designed by Studio Velocity in the garden of another residence located in Okazaki, a city in the Aichi Prefecture, Japan. The house has a cylindrical volume that would contrast with the rectilinear structure of the existing building. Inside, a large circular room occupies the entire floor and contains a sequence of family spaces that are divided by four box-shaped volumes with various proportions. Each box contains a staircase down to a different room on the floor below.
