Amsterdam-based art director and illustrator Tara Dougans‘ work is noted for exploring the intersection of handcraft and technology, static and motion. Pioneering the illustrated ‘animated editorial’, Tara has collaborated with digital innovators such as SHOWstudio and NOWNESS.com to create a new twist on the traditional GIF format – creating highly detailed work with a subtle animated twist. Outside of the digital realm, commissions include collaborations with designer Iris van Herpen, Amsterdam Fashion Week and the Fashion Academy at the Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp.
